These tracks caught my eye immediately when I spotted them last weekend on frozen bog in the Adirondacks. Looks like the animal walked up on the stump for a better view of the flat area. I saw lots of coyote tracks in the area, but I could not really say if these were made by a coyote or a dog, since I also saw signs of people bringing dogs on trails in the area, but there were no human tracks withing 50 yards of this scene, so I am guessing wild animal. FWIW, to the best of my knowledge and belief, no animal was trained or otherwise coerced to walk in this pattern.)

It is great seeing animal tracks and trying to figure out who made them. I like this Wayne not only for that reason but the comp and clean snow as well. BTW - Happy Birthday and great news! :toast:

I love how the tracks curve around and to the weird thing in the snow... I'd have done the same thing, so I feel a certain connection with the mystery creature, which I enjoy

Esthetically I'm not too thrilled about this one, Wayne, but I really like the story that the image tells here, which definitely is the reason why you initially took the image. So - well done.

Beautifully exposed scene, along with some very nice detail and leading lines. I'm especially happy about the news Wayne, and we will definitely get together in the Spring. Take care my friend.

Congrats Wayne on all the personal celebrations!! Neat little comp here, like it a lot. Was the animal in question imbibing or looking for the safest route?
