Hi Bob,

The moon is too centered and the shot is a little wide for your composition. The FG doesn't add too much to the equation. FYI - any photo that has anything man made in it belongs in the man v nature gallery. Thanks for sharing. Michael

Must have been a special moment Bob. It's hard to make out the details, and the lights being the brightest points (other than the moon) make me focus just one them, rather than the sand and ocean.

Bob,

It's a bit on the dark side, but I think you were fortunate to have the moon rising through the band of clouds which helped the moon from becoming too washed out, which of course happens quite easily.
I also agree about the centered composition. I think if you cropped the same horizontal format that included the moon, line of trees, the moons reflection with some sky and beach, that would work nicely. In other words, getting rid of about 25% of the left which isn't adding to the scene, some top and some bottom.

I will go ahead move this to the Man&Nature gallery after posting my comment simply because of the presence of the lights. Hope you understand. And I would also encourage you to add some comments to other people's images. I know everyone appreciates comments on their work.

thanks for sharing.

Lon

Thanks for helpful comments, I've tried but unable to post corrected version which is cropped and
lightened.

Some great ideas going on here - maybe just a tad too dark but I can see what you were going for here.

Overall it is too dark. This is a difficult type of photo to make.
