What a joy to see the first Snowdrops of this year! We are having such a cold and snowy winter that you almost wonder if spring will ever start. Actually I did see new Snowdrops, but this image is from March last year.

Nice capture of the Snowdrop. What's this about an image from last year....? Just kidding. I like your framing to compliment the b/g...and details in the large version are super. Ok...a purity of sight thingy is the dirt on stem and top of petal... I would consider cloning or manually brushing off the stuff. That's just me. Well done.

Ellen: Marvelous comp and capture of a delicate and beautiful subject. I agree with Ken about making the dirt on the stem and petal go away. They're especially noticeable on the larger image. I envy you the appearance of these little guys. Come on spring! >=))>

Beautiful intimate image Ellen with perfect bg separation. I'm ok with the dirt in this. For me it just makes the shot feel that much more natural and uncontrived.

Lovely and the delicacy of the flower well seen and preserved in this fine shot, Ellen. They'll be back soon. Will look forward to seeing this year's catch.

You lucky lady! Can't wait here for our Snowdrops to begin but probably almost two months away. Thanks for the sign of hope. Beautifully captured. :toast:
