Captured at the Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge last week, this portrait of a GBH getting into position for a lightning strike and reward.
Wildlife photographers have to love shooting most herons as they can be so cooperative. This heron (Hank) and I shot some stills for awhile and then agreed to break for lunch. We later returned and captured this shot! :biggrin:

An appealing portrait. This photos strong point is the composition with the beak and curved neck taking the eyes through the photo.
