What a great behavior shot Charlie. Made me laugh too - thanks for that. :toast:

The pose is so quirky in the small image, it's almost an abstract. The larger image is a better look at it. I like it. :toast:

A roadrunner in a twist! I agree that the larger version has a better perspective of what is going on. Love the tail fan.

That's quite the contortion! Very interesting image - something I've yet to see one of them do here.

Seeing this in the large version really helps to appreciate the image - thanks for providing it.

I wish I could stretch like that! A unique photo to say the least Charlie. I'd like to see more room on the left v. the right, or a vertical crop.

A great behavior shot, surely there aren't many images of roadrunners doing this!

Wonderful behavior image, Charlie. I've always liked this pose in preening bird, but they usually seem to have the nictitating membrane down, which kind of spoils the shot. This is wonderful. :toast:

I've had to look thrice to make out what it is doing! Great capture and presentation.

A fun shot Charlie. I'd clip some off the top I think to show him off even more.

The larger image helps to demystify what the bird is doing! Lovely behavioural shot, Charlie! :toast:

I find roadrunners to be the most comical of birds. I am so jealous that you found this one in such an open environment. I love how this image shows off the tail.

Nice one, Charlie. Looks like you had some sun there, and handled the exposure just right.

Now that is a view you do not see very often. For me, I might be inclined to crop more from the right side to make a vertical but what an interesting perspective, well done.

I said to myself, "Oh, my!" when the screen appeared with the roadrunner. Like the placement in the frame but most of all, the comical, but normal to the bird, pose.

Awesome pose Charlie, I don't think I have ever seen a Roadrunner posted in this position. I love it! The larger version shows wonderful detail in the facial area and in those delightfully spread out tail feathers.

The thumbnail doesn't beginning to do justice to this shot. Nice capture of the preening and habitat.
