In the spirit of Valentine's Day approaching and the quest for color I pulled a photo out of the archives. I took this Spring of 2008 while trying out my new lense.
Hand held, 1/500 sec, F5.6, ISO 320, Canon 100mm Macro, and for some strange reason I can still remember it was a cold overcast day.

Fabulous shot John and very appropriate for Valentine's Day. Comp and color look great, and I really like the smooth BG. :cool:

Nice colors and nice BG John. I wish that there was a bit more sharpness in the line of blooms.

Great contrasting colors here John. I bet a vertical composition closely cropped on the left two blossoms would be very powerful too.
