The Big Fall

View from around entrance one down onto "Veliki Slap" (Big Waterfall) in Plitvice NP, Croatia.
Georg Popp posted a similar shot a while ago - it's just a great view from up there down into the valley and one of the few places where the view isn't blocked by trees.
Canon 5DMII, Zeiss VS 35-70mm, Polarizer.

Thanks for all C&C ... the LARGER version is better.

Looks cold! A breathtaking view handled well. I like the cold magenta and aqua tone of the water, the blue of the snow and ice—very appropriate.

I've only seen summer shots of this falls, so it's nice to see it in winter Andreas. The blue tones in the snow and ice blend well with the orange and blue tones of the sky.

What an amazing place! I think I would have to view this even bigger to really appreciate it.

What a spectacular view. I love the cold tones here in contrast to the warm lights at the horizon. The image is in my opinion very well composed. A lot of details and a lot to explore in this shot. I love this one.

Beautiful light. The cold colors are just great, the waterfalls amazing!! The larger version is much better. This should be printed and put on a wall!!

good one! looks like you had a good mix of ice, snow and running water. makes me curious to see more. should be on ESS, more viewers there. (forget about the little hut...)

is that the view you would like to compare? (I see if I'll find it, wonder why its not on the webssite - somebody must have stolen it... )

It's a wonderful view from this vantage point. I missed this chance on my visit last year. Always nice when it all comes together so nicely. From the three I have seen so far, this is my favourite.
