I took this scene from a 8000 ft high military mountain refuge at Lanin Volcano. We started the hike at 11:30 am and arrived at this location at 9 pm, without a doubt the most difficult and physically demanding place i´ve been (i´m not in good shape). Im obsessed with my mountain gear weight now..

More of this series coming soon.

Lanin volcano
Junin de los Andes, Patagonia, Argentina

Hope you like it
C&C are truly appreciated.

Beautiful indeed, i was up there too, trying to get a shot of the summit and completely missed the moon show. Well... you can't get everything. :toast:

I like the diagonal foreground and rolling clouds. The pink in the sky and earth's shadow really make this a terrific view thought. Beautiful work.

Beautiful place. Beautiful shot. Nature at her best and well presented.

If I read correctly, you may have arrived before you began. Sounds like you're in great shape to me

Beautiful scene. I love how you composed this shot with its diagonal foreground, the mountains in the background the clouds rolling over them. The pastel colors are a nice addition. i'm not sure about the top, though. The moon is a nice addition to this but it's not as strong as the bottom part of the image. i would crop a little bit from the top.

Thanks to all !

@Don: Sorry, i meant 11:30 am. I already fixed it in the description.

@Bill: I get your ponit. I have another shot of this scene, horizontal, and the composition is more focused on the mountains and clouds. I´ll post it in a few days.

@Nicolas: Indeed mate, you cant get everything.

It does seem like your really up high here, Ricardo. The pink it he most eye-catching for me. Even cropping the moon works, IMO.

Thanks Morris and Bruno !

@Tony: Thanks man, Indeed, as i said above, i´ll post a horizontal and more compact composition with the mountains/clouds/pink sky, but i really couldn´t resist to include the moon being there at that moment.
