One last capture from the anniversary bouquet. There's a foot of fresh snow outside and I need to see some color, so here it is. I know the crop is tight on the sides, but to me this is the most appealing of a couple of options. Your C&C's are always welcome.

You could add some canvas to this if you wanted to give this a little more room. That would be the only nit I would have, but this still works well as is. Lovely portrait.

Russel: Tight perhaps but beautiful nonetheless. This is really good lighting with a flash. Did you diffuse it and/or bounce it onto the subject? The lack of shadows is commendable. Very well done.>=))>

I really appreciate the on-going conversation this site provides. Bill, this is an off-camera diffused flash bounced into the ceiling above the subject. Nothing too fancy. Morris, I'm not sure how to add canvas, sounds like a processing skill I don't currently possess. Moving back to create a comp that was not as tight on the sides just looked blah to me. That's what's really cool about this site - challenging us to learn new stuff. Thanks.

Russell, with the black BG, it would be extremely easy to add some canvas in PS. Just go to image>canvas size, add a little canvas in each direction, then clone some of the black over it.

I like this very much Russell. Very nice color and I actually like the tighter framing in this on the sides although it's certainly less conventional. Good to see a different approach.

I have never done well at working Alstromeria Russell. I like your take on this here, and I don't think the tightness on the sides hurts the shot. Very nice.
