I've been doing a series of photographes of the local bridges, trying to carch them in moments of unusual lighting. This is the bridge connecting Captree to Fire Island just as the sun breaks the horizon this past weekend.

Comments are encouraged and welcome.

Excellent image and I love the composition with how the bridge terminates at the water tower. It was a beautiful weekend to be out and about on the island - glad to see you were able to take advantage.

Spectacular! sure would love to see the others in your series.
Great colors, wonderful light, and the milky water or fog? is perfect.

Beautiful quality of light...I like how the bridge reflects some of it as well. The water is interesting as well...very smooth. I like this...and bet it'll be a very successful image/series for you...very marketable!

Jim,
Great project idea. The bridge is so graceful in contrast to the distant spire. Wonderful colors as well. The only thing I would do, and it is very minor, is eleminate that hazy little cloud in the upper left. My eye seems to be drawn to it instead of the subject. It is a marvelous image.

Simple and elegant. Well done. I like the tower/building at the far end drawing you across the image. The only thing I might suggest is to do a very slight, curved burn in the lower left to echo the look of the upper right. Subtle, I know, but you may find you like it and how it keeps your eye in the image even more.

Beautiful. The glow on the bridge is very appealing.

You've captured some great light here, Jim. I like the way you've mixed the reds and purples of the sky with the blue of the water. Nicely composed too. I find the orton a little strong though.
