Fog Forest

Been really sick this week, stuck inside and dreaming of Spring. This is from last summer up in Smuggler's Notch near Stowe, Vermont. The foggy conditions were perfect for simplifying an otherwise super busy northeastern forest. Your comments are always appreciated.

Beautiful subdued greens, the mist makes for a very nice dreamy enchanted forest feeling.

Love the various symmetry in the trunks - the image is way more than just mist and mood

Love the atmosphere of mystery created by the fog Kurt. I like the diffuse light and greenery piercing through the fog. Beautiful.

I'm a sucker for these foggy forest scenes, lots of fog on the coast where I live but I can't seem to get a decent image. This is very well done, love how the bg trees seem to be waiting for their chance to show their stuff and materialize out of the mist, well done :toast:

Love the lighting and the fog, creating a wonderful, lighter mood than that often conveyed by fog. One gorgeous forest image in my book. Hope you are feeling better soon.

I visited Vermont once for fall color. Your image here shows that
it has some spring attractions.

Wonderful mood and spacing for the comp. The rock took a while to stand out but what a great detail. Really lovely image!

Positively dreamy! A classic, and classy looking, woodsy image. I like it a lot.
