One little cyclamen. We decided to try something near to wide open. No usual for us, but we liked very much some photos on the forum during last weeks, so...

Thank for looking. Suggestions and criticisms appreciated as usual.

Canon 40D, Sigma 150macro, f/4.0, ISO100, 0.4sec, tripod, shot indoor with natural light from the window.

D&L: Really nice effort and a fine result. A tiny nit is the little OOF stamen(?) emerging from the center. I think I would clone that away. Excellent shallow DOF shot.>=))>

Cyclamen are difficult to photograph. This is nice.

Thank you all for the comments.
Bill we understand the point. The central OOF stamen could be distracting, but it is part of the subject and we didn't want to alter it. It would be different if it was an element in the BG.

I like the soft light and colors. My preference would be for just a touch more in focus.

A very creative composition and image you guys. I do agree with Bill about cloning out the stamen but other than that, I like this very much. Beautiful work.

Having read your comment above now, I understand your wanting to keep the stamen in the image.

A pleasure to look at this image, so delicate and soft. I love the design and the sense of the composition, too.
Ciao.
