Nicely done. The narrow DOF works well here.

I like the narrow dof and especially the soft, velvety purple colors, well done :toast:

I like the effect. At first I thought it was multiple exposure at different distances, and then I though maybe slow shutter speed and some movement, but it isn't either of those. I realize you are shooting at F 1.2, but how did you get the soft glow around the petals? Very soft and wonderful color :toast:

I like the effect the dof has here, as well as the light. Beautiful shot!

Thanks everyone....this lens I use, the Canon 85mm f/1.2 is known for its creamy bokeh and wonderful blur. Its focus distance is usually several feet. I use an extension tube to get that down to about half a foot and still with the same wonderful blur. At 1.2 at that distance the DOF is about 2mm or so

This is beautiful Mike. Love the soft dof and the halos. The mood is also very appealing. I like this one a lot. Those complementary colors aren't bad either.

Great pair of blooms Mike. The DOF works well for me. I think I might lose the greenery on the bottom right of the shot.
