Fantastic Simon, one of your best - those neck plumes are so detailed. Love the lillies disappearing into the background

Nice shot, Simon. I'm not sure if it's an optical illusion, but it looks as if the bird is holding it's head back away from the camera. Nice details and a good choice of dof.

The NR didn't affect the great detail in the white feathers against the background. The spattering of color in the near foreground was intially detractive but I liked it the more I looked.
The "camo" works, eh?

Great job on such a contrast shot, I like the angle to the egret and feather detail, that background really makes the bird standout, way to go.

Simon, I love the low perspective. Great habitat along with a great bird. Nice exposure of the whites. Well done.

Simon:
Much to like about this one - including the alert, watchful pose, low angle with nice habitat, the great control of exposure, and the dark BG.

Very nice! I love the dark setting that shows off the egret to advantage. Excellent image quality overall as well.
