No, not with me. I would not mess with a raccoon. The object of this animal's interest was a Canada goose, which was hissing loudly as the raccoon approached. This was an early warning, Canada geese will be very protective of their upcoming nests and don't take kindly to raccoons raiding their eggs. The raccoon responded with mouth agape and bristled fur.

Thank you for viewing and any comments.

Raccoon - Procyon lotor, photographed in a local park, Vancouver, BC.

Nice one Darren, the crop really focusses the attention on the racoon and his facial expression. :wavey:

Nice to get one of these out in the daytime. It appears a bit oversaturated to me with the reds and greens looking over the top. Reducing the saturation will probably take care of the blue huge on the top of the raccoon as well

Darren,
Love this shot. I like racoons. We have alot of these in Northwest Arkansas
It's great that you got him or her with their mouth open. Love the color and facial reaction. :toast:

A very intense portrait Darren  Excellenmt detail and good clarity of those shiny eyes. I do echo Luke's remark about the saturation though, but that's an easy fix. Great work! :toast:

Great portrait, agree on the oversaturation. Also the blue in the top fur caught my eye.

Wow! Sweet shot of this guy. You can count every hair and you got great catchlights, a red mouth and sharp teeth and he certainly is a beautiful animal. Excellent.

Sense of action is excellent! I, too, feel you can lower the saturation.
