South Texas white-tail

Here is a south Texas white-tail with nice back/rim lighting to emphasize his antlers. This shot was scanned from film to digital on an HP print and flim scanner with DPI 2400. Nowadays I usually get 4000 DPI scans so I hope this looks OK.

Really nice rim light! I like the placement in the frame. I wish the OOF LLC were not there.

Nice the way the lighting does bring out the antlers. Maybe take just a little off the left side.

I like the lighting on the antlers also Robert. Classic shot here. I agree with Danabout cropping it slightly with a bit off the left. I would take off enough to get rid of the oof FG on the left side.

NVry nice rim-lighting here Robert, also like the comp and the visible enviroment. Only nit would be the oof brush in the fg attraction some attention away fron the white-tail.

Wow, those backlit velvet antlers are so pretty. The habitat in this case does not add much IMO and this would have been awesome as a portrait IMO. You did not give shooting techs so I have no idea whether that was an option at all.

I love velvet antlers! I wish that single tall weed did not come up in front on the right. He is in exactly the right place in the frame, IMO, and the detail is nice and crisp. If you could darken the background a little, attention might stay more on just the deer.

Scan worked out well at 2400 dpi Robert, very nice light on those beautiful 'velveteen' antlers.
Looks great!:toast:
