This was taken last November in Kananaskis country. This big fellow was just lumbering across the meadow without a worry in the world.

Pano effect is well done. Detail is great. Very tranquil image.

Very nice shot showing the environment of this big guy. Nice comp too. A larger version might be nice, so we could enjoy the detail better. I love the curves in the river, but it looks some of the blues are little strong. Could be my monitor though.

Nice enviromental image. I like how the river balances out the comp. and adds a nice splash of color.

I love the pano crop. Great shot that shows us the environment of this fellow. A larger version wouldn't be that bad to enjoy it even more.

A very lovely scene Mark with a beautiful natural color palette and I particularly like that curvy stream. The moose is perfectly placed in the frame and the pano format suits this. I agree with Bill that these type of images are much better viewed and can more appreciated at a larger size. I hope you will consider posting larger images in the future.

Hi Mark,
Very tranquil, very nice. Was this shot near Engadine Lodge? It reminds me of that meadow.
There's something in this image that makes me keep thinking it's not level, but I suspect it's an optical illusion produced by the angle of the stream.
I agree with Vincent's comment that it's challenging to make animalscapes stand out at 720 pixels width and that this image would likely look much better at a larger size.
Cheers...thanks for sharing this...

I really like the composition with the S curve component. I think maybe the white balance is on the cool side, based on the bluish tones of the sandbars, but that is a very simple post processing fix!
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments all...this is one image I did like myself but I didn't expect the reception that it got here. I thought I could edit and post the larger size but it seems that I dont have that option at this time. I see here i can include a file with my comment so my appologies if it goes thru and I shouldn't be doing this. I will start posting both from now on, just in case they are as popular. Also Brad, you are correct this was take from Engadine Lodge in Kananaskis. This is a fabulous area for not only spectacular mountain scenery but there are lots of moose around the lodge morning and night.

Beautiful image, Mark. I like the original better than the repost, though. However, I would have preferred the moose being in the lower third of the frame rather than in the centre of the right side. Just my opinion.

I really like the way the S curve in the river offsets the Big Guy, That water is really blue!

I'll add another "well done" Mark. If there were any way to open this up a bit more to further accentuate the grandeur of the landscape at the top and bottom I would suggest that. I agree with Brad, looks like could use a bit of a ccw turn. The kind of photo I like to hang.
