Simplicity

Shot on Pensacola Beach a while back on a beautiful winter's day. As the title says, I just liked the simplicity of the composition and the contrast of the white sand against the blue sky. I've also included a larger version to view.

D2X w/Tokina ATX 12-24 @ 12mm
1/100 @ f/8 - MLU and mc-30 remote release
100 ISO
Singh Ray Circ. Polarizer
Tripod
Capture One 4, CS4, TK's Luminosity & Saturation Masks

Critiques, suggestions, and comments always welcomed and greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking!

Bill,
I love simple images like this! I love the wispy grass and the shadows they cast, but my favorite part of the image are the subtle shadows in the sand on the bottom right! Great shot!

Such a warm tranquil scene, your work always comes across with a feeling or mood, something that touches the viewer ,and that is what makes it so good, I could stare into this all day. Beautiful work Bill.

Love the composition. it sort of has a clockwise spiraling feel to it - if that makes any sense at all.

Love the graceful lines of the grasses and their shadows as well as the simplicity of the composition and color. A wonderful, tranquil image. Large image is superb.

Bill: Since this is Pensacola I take it this is the natural color of the sand and not a covering of snow. Marvelous texture in the sand and I love the shadow play. 2 thumbs up. >=))>

The angle of view and the CP usage really brought the deep blue sky out here, Bill. I especially like the curving lean to all the grasses throughout the entire scene as well.

Beautiful and simple and I love the lines in the sand. I bet this would work really well in B&W too. Nice one, Bill.

Simple is good! This is peaceful and clean with enough detail to keep me interested. The larger version is even better.

Bill,
Simple is good, and it's even better in your hands. I love the gentle, matching curves, and the way they interact with the textures here.

I always really like viewing your beach scenes Bill, I love the simplicity of this one!. Like you said the attraction is the white sand against the blue, and those 2 sea oats really add just the right touch to the sky. Very nice!.
