Sandy:
Nice portrait capturing the gaze. The BG is lovely too.

It seems the focus is on the nose rather than on the eyes. However I like the sweetness of this nice portrait.

Nice portrait and com, but eyes are a little soft.

Sandy - A little soft, but overall this is just great. The BG colors with the fox colors work really well together.

Great salvage work Sandy. Although I am not quite sure what you mean with salvaging, did you clone some obstructions out? It is evident that the focus is on the nose rather than the eyes, where it is more preferable. This is a pity as apart from that it is a beautiful image as presented with that smooth BG and those cute big eyes focussing on something other than you.

I would have to agree with others about the focus being on the nose, Sandy. However, you could selectively sharpen the eyes and see how it works.

Just sharpen the eyes a little Sandy and you're there! Nice background and a wonderful gaze from this pretty fox.

This is a wonderful shot. Great eyes and overall. Congrats on capturing one of natures most reclusive creatures. I here two families every spring within ear shot of my house. They are masters at hiding! :toast:

Hi Sandy,

There's lots of positives in this shot - compositionally I think it's nearly perfect for a portrait, the exposure looks spot-on to me, and I can't imagine a less distracting background! I do agree with the comments of the others re: the softness of the eyes and ultimately it would be nice if the depth-of-field extended back even a little further than that to include even the ears. But still very nice as posted...

Cheers...thanks for sharing this...

This is a pleasing portrait. Was the habitat too distracting to show? The warm light and catch lights create a calm mood. Thanks for posting it !

For me this shot is stunning! Great exposure, detail, bokeh, ... but most of all I love the expression you captured in the eyes. Great work!
