Another scene from near Poteet, Texas on Friday. I used a somewhat
shallow DOF to emphasize the agave fronds. All comments

This is beautiful Bill. I like the use of the short DOF. I also like this with a crop from the top to get rid of the vertical lines in the URC. Beautiful work!

Another beauty Bill, and the selective DOF works great in this application.

NIce! I agree with the others, perfect DOF. Good eye on catching unpolarized skies, too

Man, I am lovin' this! Great use of the shallow dof. The inclusion of the spiked plants is excellent.

Bill I really like your choice of dof here. Having the agave framed in the field of wildflowers is very appealling. I think this would have been even stronger if the fronds on the left agave had been given more room. Looks like you're finally getting a much deserved wildflower explosion this season.

Beautiful shot Bill. I agree with the consensus on the DOF, it works in this image. The isolation of the fronds with all that soft color is very nice.

Bill, Nice job Beautiful image & I really like DOF. The dk green sets this image off, in my opinion. Thanks for posting!

I really like the focus provided by the yucca and the selective focus. I could see a touch more saturation to make it pop a bit.

Bill, this is a unique scene that you have captured beautifully. The agaves seem to be lost in a sea of color, hoping to stay high enough to catch some light from the sun. I would have preferred a tighter crop on the agaves, but for now, I will agree with cropping from the top to lose the tree trunks.

Sweet image Bill. The colors are so nice. I really like the diagonal created by the agave. Maybe a smidgen more room on the left?

Works for me, but I would consider doing something with the posts in the top right corner. I do like the shallow DOF

I like the comp and colors on this one. The upper right is a little distracting but I'm not sure you can do anything about it.

Bill this is a nifty looking shot. I love the detail and play in textures. I don't like the upper left vertical lines and I'd like a more centered comp.

This is real nice! Even better than the last, I think. The DOF is great, as are the wonderful colors. I think the crop idea is a good one.

Another beauty, Bill. I like the agaves but wish the one on the left had a smidge more room. The explosion of color is just awesome! Well done.
