It was 3 weeks ago,a snowfall all day long... the last snow this winter hopefully. The rams came to the nearly feeding place very eagerly.

Very nice photo, good winter scene, IMHO the back ram could be sharper, but that may not have been possible under your light conditions. I assume these are wild mouflon sheep?

István,
Beautiful animals in a beautiful setting. The simplicity of the snowy BG, plus the falling snow highlighted against the rams makes this an outstanding scene. Would have been a good candidate for combining two images, each focused on one ram, but we all know how difficult it is to get even one animal in focus when they are moving. The focus on the one nearest the camera works.

You have created an arresting image in difficult lighting circumstances. Well done! It has an almost graphic appeal. Looking hard to find a nit, I suggest you might try backing off the sharpening on the main/near ram's horn as there seems to be some halo, but not much. I think the "edgy" quality is in keeping with the graphic feel. I like this a lot.

nice winter scene and well captured, looking at the larger photo i think that more DOF could have helped to make the leftmost ram more on focus. Easy to say in front of a monitor  anyway i like its simplicity.

Hi István,

Very nicely done - this would have been an exposure challenge and it's always tough working with multiple subjects. I like the diagonal placement of the two subjects and, as others have stated, the snow adds a very nice graphic appeal. I doubt you could stopped down enough (regardless of the light) to bring both subjects into focus, so your only option would have been combining two shots (each focused on a different sheep) and there are some who consider this "going too far" with digital technology...

Thanks for sharing this interesting shot...

Cheers...

Brad
