Retreated to the coast a couple of weeks ago. Retreats like this one are good for the soul... it was good for mine. This was sunset one night on the central Oregon coast. Thanks for looking. Feedback is greatly appreciated, thanks!

40mm, f/14, CP. Blended from 2 exposures

Love the motion of the water, Will. It suggests a strong rip tide (to me, anyway) and pulls my eye right into the photo. Nice shot.

I'm really digging the motion blur of the receding wave. It totally draws my eye in to the beautiful rock formations off the coast! :toast:

Really a beaut.. Will
Good job at handling the exposure and I think there is just enough surf trails to lead us in. All around a great shot. Well done

I like the motion here Will in addition to the turquoise water and turbulent sky. The partially silhouetted seastackes also work well.

real nice. I wouldn't have thought to use a polarizer for this - does it really make a difference when shooting into the light source like this?

This is excellent, and works very well for me. Only nits are maybe some minor haloing around the sea stacks.

Beautiful classic beach scene Will. I like the water lines in the foreground and the star like rocks poking through.

Wow, this is really exceptional! Good leading lines, beautiful light and color, and strongly composed; very Adamus-like, IMO. I love the white sand grains poking through in the foreground. I also love the reflection of the pink sky in the middleground. Damn nice job all around.

Only two things: 1) very slight halos around the rocks 2) in your EXIF data, you left out the most important stat: the shutter speed. Mind telling which one you used? I'm guessing 1-2 seconds.

Thanks everyone!
Daniel, yeah I think you're right... I don't think the polarizer did much here other than helping to use a slower shutter speed, which sorry I forgot to include that. It was 1 second and actually, sorry again... this is a blend from 1 exposure, not two. Oy, I should be more careful posting the details
