I took this picture at the Tulip Festival in Woodburn, Oregon.
Nikon D700
Nikon 105mm f/2.8G AF-S VR IF-ED Macro
Aperture was set at f/3.2
All critique and suggestions welcome.
Cheers,

Chad: Welcome to the finest Flora gallery on the planet and thanks for a fine first post here. Great use of an unusual subject. I like the effect of your processing. Nicely done. Great to have you aboard and looking forward to more.>=))>

Chad, Nice colors and lovely lines. I see a lot of movement which is a bit disconcerting to the eye. Assume you were hand holding ???

Carol

I had it on a tripod. This is actually a 7 bracket HDR shot. The problem is that the aperture is at f/3.2 which didn't give me enough DOF to get the entire leaf in focus. I didn't realize this until I started processing it.

Chad: This is quite a 'busy' scene and I find my eyes drifting around looking for something to rest on.

Yes, this has all the markers of HDR pushed to show a painterly glow. I like the subject you've selected that has many twisting curling forms and spots to highlight. Well done to create the desired effect.
