Cascading Water

A series of cascades in the southern Adirondacks. The view of the main fall was blocked by several trees that blow down over the winter, so I settled on this scene instead.

Nikon D40, f/11, 1/2 sec, 18-105 mm Nikkor @ 75 mm, CP filter, tripod

I like the flowing water. I would make the crop a bit more intimate. The debris in the flow is taking away from the shot.

Nice little scene Greg, and I see things are starting to turn green, really like the moss covered rocks. I'll be up on Friday for a couple of days, hope I dont run into rain again. Take care.

Real pretty, Greg! I could go for a tighter crop, but i also like it as is. Probably just an illusion, but the horizontal lines give me the impression that there is a slight CCW tilt.

This is a nice scene but i do agree to go for a tighter crop to make it more intimate. I like the softness of the water.

Very nice water flow shot Greg. Nice comp, although I might crop a bit off the left side. Excellent choice of shutter speed.

Nice Greg. I like the way you've kept out most of the dead twigs, limbs etc. That can be difficult at this time of year.

Great picture Greg. I agree to the suggestion to take a little bit off the left. I also really like the shutter speed and the effect on the water.

Hey Greg, nice water... I would agree that maybe a crop of the LHS and maybe even the top, would make this a more intimate scene. Still nice work, and great Sspeed.
