"musical announcement of dawn,"

This is a rework and crop to pano of a shot from a year and a half ago. It's not that often that we have a fog layer like this covering the eastern plains of Colorado, but I was fortunate enough to experience it.

I also included a larger version because of it's format.

Comments and crtiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Morris

Incredible Morris. The layers of mountain ridges receding back to that fog layer and the horizon.... just amazing. Pano format works perfectly.

I detect some softening effect that I think might not suit very well the graphic nature of the image. Anyway, that's subjective and other than this thought, I think it's a wonderful image!

Looks like some NorCal views! Cool colors and comp. Looks a little soft, and I'm seeing some weird splotches on the mountain on the left... fog?

Wow! I've never seen anything like this from there. It's an amazing view for sure. Looks like the view from Mt. Tamalpais looking out over the Pacific. But this is probably a bit higher.

Thanks everyone for your comments so far.
Chris, it was taken at around 9,000' and I don't know how high Mt. Tamalpais is.
Benjamin, the splotches are drifts of fog as it was quite broken up as it moved into the foothills.

I think I have seen this once maybe twice from up in RMNP, but of course never have been in a good spot to get an image like this one. I really like the blues and layers, works great as a Pano Morris!.

Late to the party Morris, but glad I came upon this beautiful image. Jaw dropping perfect. Get rid of that heavy black border and print it large. :toast:
