Crying inside

From my last trip where rain, snow, wind and cold were omnipresent. This little tree was really struggling, while the big fellows behind him were enjoying every moment. I had some trouble keeping moisture off the lens, so I hope the soft focus effect isn't too strong.

Yep, the simplicity is quite nice. The mixing of reds and greens, accompanied by the rain makes a lovely image.

Beautiful mood Dorin! I love how the trees are leaning in the same direction as the falling rain/snow, and the branches do a wonderful job framing the image.

Fine little scene and a nice change of pace on the forum! Love the foreground highlights and the way the little tree leans a different direction. Very well done.

I love the way the lone little tree stands out, and also like the overall mood and comp very much. Wish you had a larger version.

The inclusion of the rain makes the image. The shallow dof works well, too.

Very cool! I almost thought this was a motion blurred image. The rain, adds a nice sort of diffusion/softening that I really like.

great. the only thing that disturbs me a bit is the stump in the bg. but thats minor and somehow fits the mood, too.

Excellent Dorin. I love what you captured here. The rain makes a good photo even better.
