Just happen to notice this Barred Owl in the tree above my head. I was out at an Eagle's nest when I heard this guy above me. Unusual i thought since it was mid morning! I loved the way he was leaning on the tree!

Great shot. BG a bit busy but not too distracting.

Life is good!
Love the bird and its pose. The bg is a little bright in spots and is distracting but I am not clever enough to suggest a fix.
Very nice capture. I enjoyed looking.

Great owl!
The BG is a bit distracting - you might try to dampen it a bit by lassoing it and turning down the little.

Stunning composition, no obscuring branches and a great tree occupying the right 1/3 of the frame. I'm ok with the background, it's colorful and pleasing, the owl is so dominant I'm not distracted by the bright spots in the sky - I had to look for them after reading the others comments about it.

Very nice, Eric. Excellent detail and I like the pose. Since it was calling, it makes me wonder if it might have a nest in the area? :toast:

bird and tree look great, Eric. I also like the way he's sort of leaning into it. I agree that you might want to selectively reduce the brightness of the bg.
