I made it out to the Tulip Festival in Woodburn, Oregon. It was nice once it stopped raining. I found this interesting looking tulip in the fields there.

Nikon D700
Nikon 105mm f/2.8G AF-S VR IF-ED Macro Lens at f/3.2 aperture

Any and all critiques and suggestions are very welcome.
Cheers,
Chad

Very interesting shot, love the color contrast between the yellow and red, only nit would be finding some point to rest my eyes on, other than that nice work !!

 Bold colors captured well Chad. The DOF is a little shallow for me, but, I guess if deeper the BG might be distracting. Hard to do it all in the field, but I do like this.

Hi Chad. Im sure your intentions are good, but with this great camera, you should be getting more sharper detail. If you dont use a tripod when there low light , your DOF is greatly reduced, Because of your low f/3.2 apeture.

Chad: I can't discern a clear POF and the OOF petal ends in the middle of the comp don't work for me well. From this perspective I'm not sure shallow focus would be effective regardless. I do like the colors and how you managed the strong light. >=))>
