Sweating it out?

It appears that some tulips are sweating out the short season that they have to be in bloom.
Shot this morning at the Woodland Tulip Festival field, Woodland WA
I cropped this down to almost square, wanting to improve the comp. by removing most of the petal in the up/left side. I originally eliminated that petal completely but then it looked too crowded.

Larger image available, thanks for stopping and leaving a comment.

Craig, you would have needed more than a plamp to keep the tulips still around here today. Very windy! It would have blasted the dew drops right off.

I really, really like the dew drops. They almost look like jewels. This would look nicer without the petal on the left, but can see if you crop, it would be too crowded. So we just enjoy it as posted! It's lovely.

I like this as shown Craig. The left bloom is somewhat distracting, but it also shows depth. Well composed and executed in my opinion. :toast:

Nice shot, Craig. With the OOF BG, I don't think it would be too hard to clone out the offending petal. :toast:

Craig: Looks good to me. I think what I would do with the OOF petal is just desaturate the intense color a bit. Nicely done. >=))>
