Good use of the topaz filter. I really like the look he's giving. This might just be my or my monitor, but I think I'd like the blacks a tiny bit deeper. Very nice anyway.

Dan, Very nice basic photo. Not sure about the processing, though - the whole image seems a little wasahed-out to me. Maybe it just needs more contrast and darker blacks.

Dan,
I'm not sure exactly what the filter does but I like the image as posted. I've never seen a bear in the wild and I hope to correct that at some point - well, within reason.

This one really works for me. I like the use of the filter to bring out the bear

Dan,
This filter really works with the subject. I agree with the other folks that the blacks need to be boosted. I might like to see a heavy, dark vignette that forces the eye to the bear. The foreground and background textures create too much "noise" and fight for attention with this great ursine specimen. The coat on this guy is fabulous, but the same texture on the bushes pulls one's eye away from the bear. I might also clone out the stray branches that overlap the bear. Wow, this is a healthy looking guy!
