Forest of aspens, Sangre de Cristo mountains, New Mexico. Playing around with the some panning motion during the exposure. Had considered a crop off the bottom, but left it all in there to get feedback one way or another.

Greg,
This is one of those "what the heck IS that?" abstracts that is fun to look at. The lines, forms and shadows are eye-catching despite a lack of bright colors. Not sure about those two short lighter spots on the bottom. I don't find them objectionable, but I don't think the contribute to the comp, either. This is so non-descript that it could be just about anything. I guess that's a good thing for an abstract, but I sort of wish there were some little clue in the image as to what the subject is -- sort of SEMI-abstract, I guess. (But consider the source of that comment -- I don't know about art. That's why I am on NPN trying to learn.)

Your panning technique has definately worked on this Greg, it looks great. I like the subtle colours.

Gary.

Really like the subtle tones of this Greg that adds to the painterly feeling. I think it could warrant a crop but also think it's fine as is. A really nice shot.

Would never have taken those for aspens. Totally abstract for sure.
