Got out and did a little flora shooting today. Not much around but nice to see some green! This is an emerging Cinnamon Fern at Quogue Wildlife Refuge.

Nice macro view of the unfurling fronds, Luke.
Looks like our more northern habitats on the edge of the Adirondacks are not that far behind Quogue this year, but I guess you had most of the snow in the last couple of months.

Nice shot of the 'action' Luke. I think I might crop just a tad from the top (especially to get rid of the dark shape in the top left of the photo).

Cool subject. I suppose my wish to see everything of interest in focus is passe, so I won't comment more about that. There is a lot of space at the top. Maybe you could have moved the camera to include just a bit more space below the stem.

Luke: Terrific find and capture. I especially like the complementary BG and your DOF control. Top notch shot.>=))>

I like the diagonal placement of the fern and a great job with the OOF BG, Luke. What do you think of a small crop from the top to get rid of some empty space? Just a suggestion of course.
