This place is a local icon I haven't been to in MANY years. It looks like rock formed by glacial movement and thus is relatively smooth--that's why many people grew up going down "The Slides" (um, clothing optional) into a pool some distance below. This is the very top, some nice water today. D-60, ISO-100, 1/5th second, f-14 at 18mm. Larger posted too, thanks for C&C.

Bill;

Cool 'round the bend' image here. Lots more impact with the slow shutter. Although I want to see more or less. The focal point isn't defined enough to make this a 'compelling' image.

Is this in New Hampshire?

I don't know if I would want to skin my bare hiney on those rocks! Perhaps in my younger days. :biggrin: I agree with Chris that I would like to see more here on the left - feels pre-maturely cut off. Nice water action though.

Hi Chris and Bill thanks for your comments. I thought the same thing after posting this image--bad choice (though the water is fairly nice). I shot MANY images here, some from the left which shows the big drop, some from my belly (not sliding), from the very top, etc. Hopefully next one will be a better effort. :toast:

By the way Christopher, forgot to answer your question--northeast PA, not NH.

Looks like an intersting location. I like the curving perspective you took here.
