This is really eye-catching! The bank or river-edge line below the bison is a little distracting, but otherwise, it's a unique perspective on an often photographed area. Very nice!

I remember seeing this one a long time ago, I think. Loved it then and now. It's subtle, but makes a huge impact on the viewer at the same time.

Hi Sandy! This one stopped me cold ... I had to do a double take because this image (or one almost exactly like it) adorns one of the walls in my home.

The story I heard was that Tim Ernst screamed out for your driver to stop so he could photograph this scene and it ended up being one of the favorites of the group. One of my favorite all time images that's for sure. Beautiful work!

Wayne, that's fairly close to correct. I don't remember that anyone screamed out for the driver to stop. We were all roaming around on top of this hill, looking into the valley for various images. Several of us saw the potential here.
We were in a photo workshop with Dale Franz, and Tim had a good eye to see some great potential images, as did many of us. A couple of us got an image somewhat from this perspective, although the processing, exposure control, cropping, and more is always unique to the individual photographer.

This images shows how versatile you are. I've long been an admirer of
your floral work, but this is very, very special. Great FG lines lead me
to the Buffaloes in the BG. Wonderful spacing between the two. I've
had opportunities to travel to Yellowstone but have never done so; maybe
I will now. Congratulations, Sandy, for this image.
