Frog

Here's another of my favorites. The day I shot this, I'd planned to scout for some sunflower fields in north central Kansas, but upon checking the radar found out it was pouring rain there, so stayed put in Topeka and paid a visit to the lilly pad pond at Lake Shawnee. Several frogs were just hanging out, and this one posed very nicely for me.

Thanks to all the great advice and encouragement I've gotten from NPN members the last couple years, I decided a year ago to start submitting photos to a local magazine ("Kansas! Magazine"). My first publication was in the fall issue, followed by another in the winter and then another in the spring issue. My little frog friend will appear in the summer issue of "Kansas! Magazine."
