Rufous-tail Hummingbird

Here's another multi-flash hummingbird photo from Ecuador. It's actually a Rufous-tailed Hummingbird but that won't fit into the title line. This was taken at Alambi Lodge and is cropped.

This could be the best hummer photo I have seen you post. I love the wing position, flared tail and BG. Only nit would be the loss of detail in the dark area right behind the left wing. :toast:

A very strong image all round Nate. I especially like the beautifully colored and widely fanned tail and the wing positions.

Love the interaction of the bird and the flower. Although cropped it's a very strong image and the use of flash has really highlighted the bird beautifully. Graham

Beautiful pose with the head in profile and the body twisted a little. Great colors, and nice lighting and detail. Cool shot.

Perfect pose, Nate. The fanned tail, blurred wings and background are tops. The leaves and flowers are very complementary to the hummer. Great use of multi flash. :toast:

When I saw the thumbnail I just knew this was going to be special. Composition to die for, superb angle of bird and detail even in the shadows. If this were mine I would certainly do an A3+ and frame it, I could look at this for ages. Just damn good. :toast:
