Yeah, this spot looks pretty incredible. The water at the base of the falls looks a little hot on my monitor. Aside from that it looks great as presented. You did a good job framing the falls with the surrounding jungle.

Wow, this one deserves more comments than it's getting so far. Beautiful image with gorgeous water movement and a nice flowing composition. I really like the light peeking though the forest on the upper right too. I don't know if you can pull a little detail out of the left side margin of the photo- just a little-that might give it a little better balance from left to right. Looks like a phenomenal place to explore!

This is pretty cool. I'm at my pitiful work monitor so I can only comment on composition, exposure and the scene in general. Composition can be tough in scenes with dense foliage like this one but you've done an excellent job here. I agree with Tyson that some of the water looks a little overexposed, but I'm guessing it was fairly dark due to the canopy so considering what you were dealing with I think it looks pretty good, the highlights are not completely lacking detail.
I love the scene in general. The cascades are very different from what we see here in the US Pacific NW, very cool. There seems to be many opportunities for intimate shots in the immediate area. A beautiful region I'd love to visit someday. :toast:

This is really cool. No nits at all with the image, as I like the comp and excellent exposure, but just a suggestion on the framing - this would benefit better from either a white background or a white outline, since the dark bushes fade into the black frame and takes away from the image aesthetically

Beautiful, the shapes of that waterfall are amazing! The whites look a little on the hot side indeed and the TRC a bit too dark, but if you can still manage to fix this you have a great image here.

Thanks everyone for the comments, I agree I should have framed it better in photoshop didnt realize the back frame from NPN would make it looks so dark on the left side, this is an amazing place to explore, there is a much bigger waterfall further on but you get so close there was so much mist I just couldnt get a good shot, and you can even climb to the top of it....

cheers everyone

What a phenomenal location and a beautiful capture. I do wish there was more detail in the shadows, but that's a pretty minor nit.

Simon,

Probably safe to say that this is probably the first image we've seen here from this part of the world and this location specifically, so thanks for bringing it to us. I do get the distinct impression of the very thick jungle and wonder how fortunate it probably is just to get this viewpoint.

The jungle does frame this nicely as has already been mentioned, but perhaps almost too much? But regardless, what a beautiful location and capture that does it justice pretty well. My only nit would be the clipped highlights in the water at the base of the falls. Otherwise, what an amazing location.

I know you'll get plenty of comments pertaining to the highlights in the water having little detail, but damn if the impact of this one doesn't suck the viewer in. Love the way the river is framed by the dark foliage. This more than works for me as presented. Good stuff!
