Plum-headed Finch

Back from two and a bit wonderful weeks in south west Queensland. Country generally in great shape after summer rains.
This was caught in the very last rays of light before sunset, hence shadowy background.

Nice posting. I especially like the shadowy background colors to offset the finch.

A lovely bird - gotta love those monochromes! The perch and background work well with the overall understated colors here.
