This is similar to a previous post, but the feather spread is better as is the lighting I believe.

I love the wing extension and the tail fanning.

nice pose and light, Luke. I agree, I like this one better. I love spread tail and the shadow of the wing feathers across the body. The translucence in the left wing is interesting. There does look like there's some noise in the left wing, and the whites on the face are borderline, but they are a small area.

I like the dark blue sky for the white/black/orange bird. Simple and striking. :toast:

Liuke, this is my favorite of your Tern flight shots I have seen so far. I really like the wing position and tail spread in this one! I also like the shadows of the featehrs from the wing running across the body.

Very interesting to see the full spread of a bird's wings in flight, great job for hand held, way to go.

A solid flight shot, the contrasty lighting works well in this one. :toast:

While not normally a big fan of "butt" or bottom shots, I gladly make an exception with your image Luke. The way the light plays on the head and feathers really makes this unique and attractive.

Beautiful Luke, I like the composition as is. I too would probably do some Noise Ninja or something under the wings. :toast:

Very nice capture - I guess it's 'hovering'. I notice the noise also.
