Shows images do not have to be complex to be good.

Really spectacular layered light. I particularly like the orange sky to give it a different look. My only nit would that the copyright is a bit obtrusive give the subtly of the scene.

Love the layers, and the khaki green contrasting with the orange sky. Possible dust spots just right of center and just below center, but they might be trees - don't know.

Nice colors and layers. However, the white copyright on the bottom is a real distraction.

I've shot from Olmstead Point in this type of light/ color. Now seeint this, I don't know why I never thought iof it myself. Excellent! I've always wanted a nice layered landscape for my portfolio. No luck so far. This one is great, maybe the best one I've seen from anywhere in California!

Very nice indeed! Not just the layering but the repeating shapes of the hills.

Thanks for the comments. Chris I happened upon this scene solely by coincidence. I drove my truck down the dirt road that goes from Foresta down to El Portal. I shot the waterfall along the way and at one point in the road you come across this vista. The light was right, so I shot it. I haven't been back to this exact spot so I have no idea if this is how it looks every evening, or I got lucky.

Rodney,

Terrific image of layers. Who would have thought this was the Merced Canyon. I was thinking the Great Smokies.... Very nice.
