I posted a color image of this falls the other day that didn't seem to generate too much excitement. But I said I'd post a B&W from the same shoot so here it is. C&C much appreciated.

I very much like your toning here. The image works well in B&W

This works very well in b&w, love teh toning and teh waterflow here. I might suggeast cropping off the bottom as to focus the attention even more on teh falls. :wavey:

Much prefer this version. I just wish there was a little more breathing room for the falls at the top. Those foreground rocks are interesting. Overall, it's very nice and interesting as a BW.

I like this better than the previous post. Tighter comp and crisp sharpening are helping this one. Good contrast too.

very nice, Barry! conversion looks spot on. love the contrasts here and those whites on the water are awsome. nicely controled!! I saw this image earlier but only had time to comment now, my only nit is related to the fg, I don´t know if I can explain this properly but I find the fg very rough when looking to the rest of the image wich I find very relaxing and beautiful. I would crop the fg just bellow the horizontal boulder. the fg bothers me much more than the top to be honest, but that´s me. lovely b&w image. ps: silver rocks, right, I´ve been using it for a while, great tool!

Barry,

This take on the falls is fabulous! Not only does the b&w processing look great, the composition is top notch. Much prefer this over your previous color post - of course a much different view. This view is tighter and really simplifies the scene to is basic and most important elements. Great job!
