This photo was taken during a snow storm over the Adela range (Cerro Torre out of the frame on the right)
I was trekking on the Torre Glacier looking for some ice caves, bad weather but calm, and the storm suddenly surprised me, hopefully it´s not complicated to get out of there.

Not a wow photo, i know, more documentary feeling to it, but i wanted to read your oppinions about.

1Ds / 17-40L @40mm / SR polarizer

Tanks in advance.

Hi Ricardo

The feeling is the main thing when you look at this photograph, and I feel transport to that place and suffering the same storm as you did it.

Well done

Best regards

Gracias Roberto, that was my intention with this photo, glad you feel the same.

Well, this is probably the most 'telling' image of Patagonia I've ever seen on NPN. It's not nearly the most pretty or compelling, but it is effective in the documentary sense.

Ricardo,

I think this is magnifico! Great mood and atmosphere and a scene greatly simplified by the thick conditions. The only issue/suggestion I have here is the color. This is pretty strong in cyan on my monitor. Evidence even in the darker shadow areas at the bottom have strong cast. I don't mind and I understand blue are ever present in scenes lacking any direct sunlight, but still this seems a bit off to me.

A fabulous mountain image with some correction, IMHO.

That storm makes for a frightening photo. Very threatening! I like it.

It feels ominous. I might tone down the blue a little, but to me this is fine work.

man, where you guys go!! I feel I would die in a place like this and in less than an hour...!! love the mood here and the misterious, if not, unworldy feel. just great my friend! I agree with Lon about the blues and toning them down a tad. great work...

I love it, even as is. I'll never see this in person, so I can't judge from personal experience, but I really dig the sense of mystery I get. I can just feel massive the masses of stone lurking back there out of sight.

The blue may be a bit much, but given the style of the image, a slight...chromatic interpretation is no bad thing. I would be tempted to crop from the top a little, just above the dark point of the peak, to give that element more power.
