This is a vertical version of a shot I posted in April
HERE. You can see the detail of the shot in the larger version I posted then (because it was a horizontal comp). The three-frame vertical pano (three exposures for each of the three horizontal shots) was ruined by water drops on the lens. However, recently I salvaged this single test shot by triple-processing in ACR. Since it was shot at ISO 100, the noise in the dark areas was not too bad. So now I have the two versions (horiz. + vert.) that I wanted.
Canon 50D
Sigma 17-70mm. f/2.8
0.4 sec. @ f/16; ISO 100
Tripod, cable, mirror up.
Hand-blend of three exposures generated in ACR from one shot
Comments
10 commentsThe lighting is outstanding - including the glow on the rock in the rear and the trees at the very top - the blend did the trick.

Yes, that water is too blue (and cyan). That's what happens when I lose track of all my layers. The whole image looked too cold, and I wanted to warm it up to match my memory of the sun shining on the rocks. The water was in four different layers to control the highlights, and I neglected to warm them up, too. I know it will look better when I am done.
