During the winter Snowies and Great Egrets gather at this weir when it rains. When the water spills over shad from the downstream lake gather at the weir. Each morning while the water is running they feed here for a few hours.

Very nice indeed. Perfect light for this difficult white plumage. Great way to show off the yellow slippers.

First rate image. Wonderful detail-especially in the fish and in the bird feet.

Excellent capture Ronnie. That fish looks too big for the Egret to swallow.

Very cool, wonderful job on the contrasting colors and keeping all in balance. I like the detail and seeing the fish looks like a mouthful, well done.

Excellent - especially like the interest added by fish, diffuse light, perfect exposure and crisp presentation. The black/yellow trasition on legs is also interesting.

Interesting contrast between the daintiness of the pose and the huge fish going down the gullet. Excellent exposure and detail. It's a bit tight for my taste. :toast:

Ronnie

I love the action you caught, the fish on the bill, the way the golden slippers show so well and the wonderful details in your whites. Very well done.
