Eric:
A very nice flower indeed and the color is fabulous. The focus point here in the upper third of the image is a bit unconventional but works as well. Wish for room at the top though.

Eric, you mention dew in the description. I take it the presence of dew are the two oof spots ULC? I think the capture would have more impact with the entire disk present, but that is IMHO. Exposure wise, very well done. I know how difficult it is to capture the disk and get the glow without blowing out the highlight or creating deep shadows with little detail. Been there done that with the Purple Coneflower. Also like the detail in the foregorund petals. The disk looks sharpest in the center with softness radiating outward, which is why I would like to see the entire disk. Yet I can see detail in the bg of the disk. The image just messes with my mind! :toast:

I like the symmetry of the echinacea head Eric, and the short DOF that draws your eye to the center of its pattern. Great natural color - well done :toast:

Hi Eric, I like the angle you chose to shoot from here and the shallow dof is nice too. I'm not sure what caused the spherical highlights at UL but I would suggest cloning those out. Very nice presentation.

I like your choice of dof very much, Eric, and the lighting and colour are perfect. Like some others, I think I probably would have preferred to see the whole of the centre but this is an original take and might grow on me !
