Just playing with lighting on this lily, it's coming to the end of the season for many lilies and day lilies around here.

Very nice capture Mike of a subject just past its prime. Although past, it still radiates with a sense of beauty. Your directional lighting is right on.

Very nice in all regards!
How did you achieve the great DOF? I've been experimenting with composites, each photo taken at a different point of focus. I find it's not that easy to get the final product looking as good as this one.

The mix of lighting makes for a very unique image. I like the contrast of bright leaves and glowing lily. Excellent dof and pov.

I love the light on the leaves Mike and their arrangement in the composition. Bg selection is perfect for my tastes also. Beautiful minimalist work.

Super lighting here in my opinion. The detail and focus is great throughout this entire image. Is this a single exposure or a stack? Either way, it's very nice.

Thank you all for your feedback. Some have asked about the techs. This is a single exposure, not a stack. D3x, 70-180mm lens @ 135mm, 1 sec @ f/36, ISO 400, lighting with four litepanels

Mike, you have saved from death a beautiful specimen. Of course, I am in love with the play of light on the leaves, petals and stamens. A splendid photo.
Take care.
