Yellow Warbler

From last Saturday morning. I liked the open perch that still includes the habitat feel.

7D, 500mm f4 + 1.4TC, Black Widow on Gitzo legs, f8, 1/1600, iso 400, Av mode with -1/3 compensation, normal processing in CS4 with less sharpening than usual. Cropped to about 30% of the original horizontal. Subject distance 11m.

Your comments and criticisms are always appreciated.

Thanks for looking,

Awesome Dennis. Great job on all the techs and I love the yellow bird against the blue sky. :toast:

Very nice habitat shot Dennis, minor nit is the OOF vegetation in bottom left.

Very nice pose and comp Dennis. I like the perch and the clean look at the warbler. I do think the large crop has produced some noise in the larger version.

Dennis I love the perch and the composition, and the subject is naturally sharp with great eye contact. Very well done!! :toast:

A fine image. The position gives this a nice tense feel.

This is just the way these little guys look around here too, Dennis. Fine, realistic shot. I like how the composition managed to include the berries at the bottom as well as the bird above center. :toast:
