A bit to close to my hide but I still like this close up portrait. I don't even miss the virtual leggs. Let me know what you guys think.

If you have some time left, please check out my new website.

Nikon D3s and Nikon 200-400/4 iso 200 1/125 sec. f/4 full frame

I don't miss the virtual legs, either. I do find myself wishing the nostrils were unobstructed, but that is a subjective "feeling" reaction without rational basis. Good post!

Very nice Edwin, I like the eye level POV and the comp is well balanced. The clear eyes are great focal points, yet I do wish to see either a bit more of the snout or less. I do not miss the virtual legs in this case at all. :toast:

Sometimes when I take clients and see warthogs I tell them to lie down and (because they are curious and will come nearer) this is what you get...... realy good picture and I like to think that you went down to make this picture in that fasion..... and therefore it does not disturb me that you cannot see the legs or nostrils but it gives you a reality picture of a photographer in that situation,,,,, if you did it that I would say chapeau!!!

Like the eye contact and the surrounding warm colors.

Very nice Edwin. I don't mind the snout, but I do wish there was some more space at the bottom. A fine example for me how much depth multiple out of focus zones can create.

Congrats on the new site (what was wrong with the old one?). :wavey:

Great detail Edwin, the fur just pops off the screen. Nicely done, great image.

With an up close image like this we all want to see more, because we like it. But those eyes say volumes, and my time with this image is better spent reading them. Well done, Edwin.

Wonderful shot and point of view. I do not mind the the lower half being obstructed, my eyes went right to the boar's eyes and the look. Great detail on the larger image where it counts, way to go.
