Male Tiger catching the scent.
Male Tigers have larger territory to maintain than females. The male is checking, if another tiger has intruded into his territory. After verifying, he spray marked his scent and then moved on.
Thankyou so much for your kind attention & views!

Interesting hearing about the territory thing and good shot showing him sniffing the air. I really enjoyed your tiger gallery on your website by the way, all good stuff.

Terrific picture. Beautiful animal. He has a very interesting coat - the stripes almost vanish at the shoulder.

What I like most, Jagdeep, is the excellent leg positioning and tail extension. The profile face is certainly fine, but in a perfect world I would have asked for a tiny bit of head turn to the lens! Thanks for showing us another good one!

I like the head lifted high in that sniffin' mode, cool :)
Very good details, exposure, and natural colors Jagdeep.
Great profile view and environment as well :toast:
