Heavy rains of late have increased the flow of Adirondack streams, creating some nice cascades.

Nice effect with the long shutter speed, however I miss an eye catcher in the composition. What does catch my eye is the greenery in the top lefthand corner, I would crop a bit more at the top so the green would be out of the picture altogether.

Hi Greg, the panoramic format seems like a good choice here to emphasize the rapids. It is technically well captured, but like Ingrid, I also think this lacks something; be it better light, or a strong focal point. As is it just does not keep me interested for very long. Hope that makes sense...

Greg,

Looks like a great location and I think you did well with being able to get the slow enough shutter speed to get some smooth motion in the water. The pan format/crop works very nicely and creates a very nice composition. For me, I'm less bothered by the very top left of the image but there's a fairly big white blotch of whitewater/foam or something near the center of the image that is a pretty big eye magnet for me. Overall, I think you've done pretty well in this fairly heavy and bright light. I do think that if you have the chance to visit this location during some softer or warmer light you would have some wonderful opportunities.
